Getting Started

The first time I've even considered creating a blog was a few days ago. I'm just getting it going. I wanted to start this blog so anyone who is interested can see what I'm up to over my summers. This coming summer I will be in New Orleans for 5 weeks, doing volunteer construction to help rebuild a neighborhood in New Orleans.

On a side note my son and I completed our first race today, we did the Get Lucky 7K. 24 degrees is not really ideal for standing around for an hour before the race then running. Muscles tend to tighten up. But we did it. Something I've been wanting to do for a while. Now looking forward to the Monster Dash in October, that one is 10 miles. I lost my mind for a moment and signed up so I guess I better get training!!
