25 More Days...

Im patiently waiting for the day I leave for New Orleans. Until then I have some things to take care of. Portfolio Show, Graduation, packing, preparing...

I've been working on my light painting technique. Here are a few more images I have created. These are very different from the first type of light painting I did. Much cooler, if you ask me! The images have been a big hit. Even more then I thought they would be.

Her Mom said when she opened the digital file of this image her heart sank. I told my model to look like a dead bride, I guess she's good at her work! We were working out in a pitch black grove on a not so warm night, so I appreciate her helping me out!

I would love to do more of this. I have plenty of people who what images of themselves like this. I just need to find a car or location closer to home. This is a car I rolled when I was 16, and is about 2 hours from Minneapolis.

I defintely learned I was short on lights, so I had to go out and buy some more. I love the glowing red in the car but really didn't have enough lighting to pull it off in the other images.

For this one I wanted a creepier look so I had her mess up her hair and have the mascara running down her cheeks. Used lighting to make her look creepy, even though she is beautiful. You can do a lot with lighting if you know how to use it!

I call this one "Wingless Angel". My cousin, Sakura, saw it and said "the only thing she needs is fairy wings. Thats what I think of when I look at this picture, a fairy." And she was right. I'm going to try that in future images. This one, by far, seems to be the favorite among other photographers.

I really want to try some of this in New Orleans. I'm sure I will find many locations that would be perfect. Hopefully I will also find willing subjects for these projects. I have so many things in mind for when I'm there I hope I can fit it all in!!!

Stay tuned... :)
